Abstract
|
|
|
The present research was done to investigate the relations between the effects of Jakamchotang on oriental medical references and the actual clinical effects bythe animal experimental studies.
The following results were obtained in this study.
1) Analgesic effects were significantly recognized by the acetic acid method.
2) The sedative effects of spontaneous momentum by the wheel cage method and the relaxing effects of muscles by the rotor rod method were noted.
3) Anti-inflammatory effects were revealed on edema induced by carrageenin.
4) Spontaneous motility of the isolated ileum of mice was suppressed. And antiacetylcholine effects, antibarium chloride effect of antihistamine effect were revealed in both mice and guinea-pig. So it was recognized that there were relaxing effects of muscles on the smooth muscles of the digestive organs.
5) The contractability of isolated heart was remarkabiy suppressed in frog.
6) The expansion of blood vessels and the fall of blood pressure were noted.
